Awesome fit and protection

My main concern was having a case that was a pain to remove, use and deal with. This is just not the case at all. The quality is WAY better than expected. The fit is perfect. I take care of my equipment and this purchase is helping a great deal with that.
Four stars for the product, two or three stars ultimately for usefulness.

Four stars for the product, two or three stars ultimately for usefulness. At least in my case. It's my own fault, really. I got too gung-ho when I purchased my X-T20 and wanted all the best accessories for it without thinking about my use-case (ATGNI). Product is exactly as advertised. It fits pretty well (with the 18-55mm kit zoom), good quality materials, I was not disappointed in the least by what came in the mail. It matched what I expected pretty much exactly. Not gonna lie, it LOOKS nice, and works as advertised. What I didn't think about before purchase was its convenience of use. Now that I have it, I can't think of a good reason to use it over my simple shoulder bag. Similar to taking your camera out of a bag, you have to unsnap your case and either hang onto it, or let it hang awkwardly by a snap. I imagined myself using this case as a compact way to safely pack my camera around, then just leave the top shell portion at home base, or keep the whole thing on to prevent my camera from carelessly knocking around... But the X-T20 isn't weatherproof, and neither is this case, so I feel more comfortable either way just keeping the camera in my shoulder bag. Plus, I can fit my spare battery, lens hood/caps, lens, SD cards etc in my bag. Long story short, I feel safer as well as better prepared with my shoulder bag.Pros:-It's sexy. I love the vintage look and feel.-The bottom portion that attaches to the camera fits snugly, and actually improves the tiny grip of the X-T20.-Inside is very soft, I have no doubt it gently caresses the camera while it sleeps.-Fits the camera plus 18-55mm kit lens.-Feels like good quality for most of it.-I personally had no issues accessing the battery or SD card using the snap hatch.Cons:-I can't think of a use for it over my shoulder bag. (Ape Case AC260 pouch... cheap, small, functional)-The tripod mount doesn't feel as secure as I'd like, seems to only be anchored to the case by soft plastic between leather layers. It has some real flex to it I don't like.-Need to hang onto (or stowe) the top portion when you want to use the camera. This seems obvious when you consider it, but I suppose I didn't really think it through prior to purchase. All in all, one star off for what feels like a poorly anchored tripod mount, but an otherwise quality product that is as advertised. I won't be using it over my camera bag, but if you think you will, then go for it!
Good design, great price, close-but-no-cigar execution

Kudos for design aesthetic, materials, build quality (with caveats), price. Points off for fit (camera & tripod plate); cannot comment on durability yet as I've only used it for about a month and haven't dropped or bumped camera while using it. Improves the grip on the X-T20 substantially, although the corner piece on the left side seems rather vestigial and partially blocks the focus dial, which is slightly annoying. These are all minor nitpicks - what made me deduct half a star is mis-alignment of the battery compartment cutout. Granted, it's only millimeter or thereabouts, probably well within tolerances when machining the base plate, but once you add on the outer material and stitching, it's enough to prevent the compartment door from opening completely. This doesn't hamper changing batteries, but it is an issue when replacing SD cards on the X-T20; the battery door pushes against the card, prompting users to either (1) remove the card with a fingernail via the indention near the bottom of most SD cards or (2) push the battery door farther back to get better clearance. (2) could possibly damage the battery door and (1) is a bit of a hassle if you're trying to change cards on the fly. This could likely be fixed easily by shaving off .5-1 mm off the cutout in the base plate. The other half-star is for the positioning of the snaps on the bottom of the base plate, which are *just* close enough together to prevent it from seating properly on some tripod plates. Easy fix, just move the snap hardware a few mm and adjust the strap shapes on the wrap-around shroud, wouldn't take 5 minutes to change the CAD files. To summarize, I really like the design and idea of this case, but the execution is a little wanting. Not enough to make me want to return it, especially given the competitive price point, but the engineer in me wishes that the manufacturers had put more thought into tolerances. I hope this constructive criticism helps with later iterations of the product!
